Harley-Davidson Ads

motorcycle collage

Design Challenge

The design challenge for this project was to create an ad campaign for
a chosen brand, in this case Harley-Davidson, and expand its audience
base to younger people. Harleys are notorius for being owned by older
men, so this campaign strives to include a new vein of people.

Inspiration

The creation process involved moodboarding, designing, revisions and
mockups. Photoshop work was prioritized by creating the illusion of
a collage with ripped paper and a grunge aesthetic. Textured images
and overlays were used to make the ads appear distressed. The tagline
“touch grass” is an internet saying among younger folks that insinuates
you need to spend more time outside and off the internet.

Specifications

Harleys are an icon of cool and edgy, and these ads reflect that.
They target the younger generation of punk culture and motorcycle
enthusiasts alike. The final project received an A.
