Four Dabloons
Design Challenge
The design challenge for this project was to create an originally branded
cat cafe. The brand identity, name, and values were created before
making any visuals.
Inspiration
To make the design, I went through a couple phases of drawing
thumbnails for logos before being struck with inspiration for the final
logo. The name spawns from a joke in the online community; a photo of a
cat sticking her toes out in a rather silly manner. Thus, “four dabloons” is
an apt name for a western themed cafe full of silly little cats.
Specifications
The final project includes a main logo in color, a black and white version,
as well as an inverse for both. I did quite a bit of Photoshop work
to design the interior, piecing together different elements and even
including photos my own cats on the “wanted” wall!
